Experience
I'm a researcher/academic coach/facilitator who strives to support students in creating success in their research journeys - holding space for individual growth and enabling collaboration. My keen interest in working with students has manifested in multiple ways - I have coordinated masters and PhD programmes, organised emerging researcher development workshops, completed a certification in postgraduate supervision, and continue to explore creative ways to curving out meaningful (and student focused) research pathways. My own experience of being a student and navigating the challenges of postgraduate research drive myself to bringing a people-centred approach to supervision.

I hold a PhD in Information Systems from Rhodes University with a focus on digital transformation. I have over 8 years experience working on diverse research projects and on multidisciplinary teams from citizen engagement, health, engineering, communicative ecologies to curriculum design. I have supervised and mentored multidisciplinary postgraduate students at both the masters and doctoral stage, and worked in research positions in academia and volunteer research initiatives in Namibia and South Africa.

As a facilitator I have organised introductory workshops on Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and Design Thinking. My continued involvement in professional research communities has afforded me the opportunity to design and coordinate shadow reviewing programmes; equipping PhD students, Post-Docs and early career researchers on reviewing academic papers for conferences and journals.
